Amendments to the Kakao Comprehensive Terms of Service and the Kakao Terms of Service
Thank you for using Kakao.
We’d first like to thank all our members for using Kakao services.
We amended the Kakao Comprehensive Terms of Service and the Kakao Terms of Service as of February 4 and 5, 2026, to provide clear guidance regarding the introduction of artificial intelligence services.
However, we have determined that certain parts of the amended terms may have caused unintended confusion among our members. Therefore, we would like to inform you that we will revert the Kakao Comprehensive Terms of Service and the Kakao Terms of Service to their previous versions, as outlined below.

Article 6 (Provision of Various Services) ⑤ The Company provides diverse Services that users can enjoy on the Internet or through their mobile devices, such as a social networking service, bulletin board system service, online contents provision service, and location-based service, etc. To offer a broader range of features within abovementioned Services, such as personalized content recommendations and advertisements, the Company may use automated methods to analyze or summarize your Service usage history and patterns. In this process, the Company complies with applicable laws and regulations, including obtaining separate consent from users where consent is required by law, and makes its best efforts to protect your personal information and privacy. You may download the Service from your smartphone and application store and install it on your PC or use it by accessing the relevant web page. (omitted) |

2. Effective Date
The amended Terms will take effect on Feb 21, 2026. If you do not express your refusal to accept the amended Terms by the seventh day after their effective date, you will be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may terminate your Service Agreement.
